We stayed at home in Tennessee for Christmas this year. We went to the 5:00 pm children's mass on Christmas Eve, it was very nice. As we entered the church all the children were given bells for them to ring during the service. The picture shows father Sweeney and the children during the homily. We learned about Christmas trees among other things. Christmas trees are green, the color of life, sometimes one sees the priest wearing green vestments (sp?). Christmas trees also represent the cross, being wood. Father made sure that all were aware of the gift of Love that God sent to the world.
