Jaguar, computing

Yesterday came the announcement that the world's fastest open science computer is called Jaguar, and we've got it at ORNL where I work, click this link for more info.

This speed machine is running Linux, of course :)

Not to be outdone, I have a home computing device named "John" with a speed of about 1 flop. That was meant to be a joke, however I just asked John what 1.2 plus 1.2 equals and he replied 2.4 in about 1 second, so I'll call that 1 flop.
